Downloading Photos from Picasa Web Albums

Our photo albums are hosted on Picasa Web Albums.

Why Picasa? It's because we are able to upload high-resolution photos (up to 2048 x 2048 pixels) with no limit of photos per album. What's more, you are also given the option to download the high-resolution photos.
Read more for some tips in navigating around Picasa as well as searching for your photos with ease.

You can find the recently uploaded OSIM International Triathlon 2011 photos in the links below:

1) Getting around Picasa
Clicking on either album cover will bring you to the album in Picasa, which looks like this:

Notice the slider on the top right corner? Sliding it to the right increases the size of the thumbnails, which is going to save you a lot of time while trying to find photos of yourself!
We like the 3-column view when viewing the album on a laptop:

2) Downloading Photos in Picasa
Downloading photos from Picasa is easy! Just go to the page of the photo you want to download, click on the 'Download' button on the menu bar and a selection drops down that says 'Download photo'. Your browser will then show you the standard download dialog where the photo will be saved to your usual 'Downloads' folder.

3) Photo Naming Convention
Now you've gotten used to navigating around Picasa, here's some explanation on our naming conventions.

TIP: if the image name is truncated, hover you mouse over the thumbnail and you will be shown the image name in it's entirety.

Let's decipher the name of the photo above: OSIMTRI_2011-07-30_11-16-14.
'OSIMTRI' refers to the event name, '2011-07-30' and '11-16-14' indicates the date and time the image was shot respectively.

Based on your race start times, you should be able to guesstimate where photos of you will likely be.

Now check out the photos we have posted up, and try to find yourself 'in the moment'!
